You will need to prove at least one of the following to be eligible for a UK Spouse Visa:
- You are in a civil partnership or marriage that is legally recognised in the UK; or
- You have been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years; or
- You plan to marry or enter into a civil partnership in the UK within 6 months of arriving.
If you are legally married, you will need to produce your marriage certificate and (if necessary) an English translation.
If you are unmarried, you will need to produce a wide selection of documents to prove that you have been living together for at least the past 2 years. These need to be official documents such as bank statements, utility bills, mortgage statements, insurance certificates and letters from Government departments.
If you are unsure if you meet the requirements for a genuine relationship, contact us.
